After several years of loyal service to Vodafone, the time has come to part ways; due to their inability to get their act together and sign an agreement with Enable Networks to offer UFB. We are in Rolleston and UFB has been available for close to 18 months. I have asked several times for an explanation as to the hold up and have been fobbed off continuously until tonight when I received the following reply from their social media team:"In order for us to provide UFB, an agreement needs to be in place with the local fibre provider (Enable in this case). The update at this stage has not changed, that is that we have a small number of trialists in Canterbury but have no time frame at this stage as to when the agreement will be finalised to allow us to provide UFB to our customers. We're unsure of the details regarding the delays, as it could be a number of things. I really wish I were able to get you some additional information, unfortunately, I can't tell you when we will be able to offer the service."It appears no-one at Vodafone knows what is happening. I am still staggered that after 18 months an agreement cannot be reached. A lot of people have switched to Snap, Orcon or Telecom in order to get UFB. With an unlimited offering from Snap looking imminent, I'll be giving them a call shortly.
