I've been reading other posts about attenuation for the last couple of weeks in anticipation of moving onto VDSL. Physically, I'm about 300m away from the cabinet. However, looking at the attenuation, I get 16dB downstream (which suggests that we are 1.2km from the cabinet and on the return leg of the loop). Strangely, though, the upstream attenuation is only 1dB. I haven't seen such a gap between the two legs on anyone else's results.Is this actually as strange as I think it is and is there anything I can do about it?
