We have our Motorola modem in the living room next to the TelstraClear tv box. These devices are connected via a Y-splitter behind the tv.From the modem, we have connected a Belkin N300 wireless router. http://www.belkin.com/au/F9K1002-Belkin/p/P-F9K1002/ which gives very poor house coverage. We purchased a dual band range extender to try to fix this issue http://www.belkin.com/au/F9K1106-Belkin/p/P-F9K1106/Both are up and working with password, etc...About 1-3 times per day, the internet stops working. Wireless just completely stops. Sometimes it seems like just before it goes out, it starts getting really slow (but this may be our imagination). At a certain point it just dies, and the only way to fix it is to go unplug the modem and plug it back in. We do the same to the router too just to be safe, but I'm pretty sure it's the modem.Has anyone seen anything like this before, and know how to fix it? I thought about calling Vodafone's support, but I was trying to self-diagnose before I did that. This has been happening for months.
