I live in what has been a fringe area for both Vodafone and Telecom being Maungaraki. My Vodafone reception has been pretty poor for a number of years and so has my ex wife's (who lives just down the road).I am aware that there is a lot of work going on with the change to next gen and have just noticed that my data connection on my phone is very fast, within the greater Lower Hutt area and now shows H+ (SGNote2). The downside to this is that I have NO voice reception at home and am unable to send or receive calls at all now, and unable to send or receive texts. My ex partner in crime is in the same boat.Is this drop in voice reception (or lack of it) why my battery is draining faster?More importantly, who, where, what do I do about the fact that my phone no longer gets reception at home, which is where I need it most?Before you ask .... no change of phone, furniture or plan of whatever kind. The only thing that appears to have changed is Vodafone data and my now lack of voice reception.Any help appreciated.Cheers DB
