HiI'm trying out a Mikrotik Routerboard Hex RB750Gr3 so I can setup some vpnsBut I cannot connect to the internet. Currently my internet is Fibre X (hybrid) The current Vodafone Ultra Hub router I was using is set to IPOE and connects to the Vodafone modem. I am replacing the router ultrahub with the Mikrotik Router board. The Mikrotik has three connection types to choose, Static, automatic, PPPOE. I contacted Vodafone who said I need to choose PPPOE with a username and password but that didn't work. The Instructions on Vodafones pages for the settings say that Hybrid is IP routing which I expect is the automatic setting on the Mikrotik. But there is no place for a username and password, which Vodafone states is required for IP Routing connection, But I suspect its actually meant to be a dynamic connection. (automatic) which I think is actually IPOE.The problem is on the Mikrotik routerboard, I choose the connection type as automatic, restart the modem and the settings appear under IP, subnet and Gateway. Great I say, but once the modem is finished starting up the settings actually disappear from the Mikrotik router.I suspect I need to configure another setting in the Mikrotik router for the settings to stay put and give me the internet, But not sure what to do next. This is the first time I am trying a Mikrotik. They have loads of settings but not easy to configure. If someone could advise would be great thanks
