I recently subscribed to stuff fiber on their 100Mb/s d/l 20Mb/s upload unlimited plan. Multiple internet speed tests have come back around 40-50Mb/s download and up to 45 upload. My discussions with their service desk has been very unhelpful. My 10yr old PC runs a E7200 processor at 2.5GHz, Win 7 and latest Firefox (and thats about it), about 500GB hard disk free, 100mb/s ethernet port. Asus RT-AC58U router (gigabit capable). They say: Nope - everything in order, must be your old processor or ethernet card.I say: I don't believe them. Phone wifi connection to router returns almost identical speed tests at same time as PC. Even if 100mB/s ethernet port is theoretical and actually runs at 70%, I would expect to see 70Mb/s.Can anyone enlighten me as to what may be at issue here?
