Netgear N600 WNDR3700 + Vodafone UFB

Hey Guys

i recently upgraded my net connection to UFB ( Yay )

I was supplied with the bundled huawei home gateway supplied by vodafone ( BOO )

i have a Netgear N600 that i would like to use and believe this can work, my problem is when i connect this up to the WAN cable going to the UFB terminal on my wall, nothing authenticates and i cannot connect.

Apparantly i do not need a user name and password and it should work straight off.

I recieved advise from someone on the Voda forums who said i needed to enable VLAN tagging, this is not typically an option that i could find on the netgear so i installed DDWRT that seems to have the option which i did enable, but still nothing

So what i am asking, is what do i need to do on DDWRT to get this thing connected to the net
