UFB install problem (worked - then stopped)

I've had UFB for a while (with Snap), but my neighbour has had it installed last weekend.Final provisioning/installation was completed yesterday and it worked fine until about 7:30pm, but then stopped working.I went across to her house to have a look (not really expecting to be able to fix it, but checking for user-error issues!).They have the same Huawei device as me (the ONT?), into which is a new network device (looks like Vodafone's version of a Fritzbox). The problem was fairly easy to spot - a flashing red "LOS" light on the ONT.From what I've read, this is likely to be caused by some interruption on the fibre link.My neighbour was obviously not too impressed, and even less impressed with having to sit on hold for a long period of time with Vodafone (but I did explain that this is "normal" from what I've read here - ie long wait times).I'm hoping that once the frontline CSR realises that they need to send somebody out that they'll just do that (and not muck the people around asking stupid questions). I gave the neighbour a "script" to read out to the CSR, explaining what the symptoms of the problem are and what tests we had done (resetting devices etc etc).Question for the group: What would cause the install to work and then fail like that?My guess is somebody doing something in a cabinet of some sort? ie something physically had changed?Or can it be some sort of setting (server side) that can cause that issue (ie LOS red light)?Nigel H.
