My wife uses Textra on her Moto G for text messaging on Vodafone NZ. Textra keeps showing her the notification "Can't retrieve MMS - tap to retry (check MMS APN settings)". I don't know what causes it to appear, but once when I turned mobile data on it appeared. In Android mobile settings the following appear (though not sure if any are used by Textra): - VF Web (APN = vodafone, no proxy, no port, no password, MCC530, MNC 01 Auth PAP, AND type default, APN protocol (standard/roaming) IPv4) - this one is selected as default - VFNZ Internet (APN = www.vodafone.net.nz, everything else the same other than APN type default, supl, agps, fota, dun) - VFNZ PXT (APN live.vodafone.com MMSC=http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend, MMS proxy 172.30.38.3 MMS port 8080 MMC 530 MNC 01 APN type mms, APN protocol (standard/roaming)). This one can't be selectedIn textra settings the APN is set to auto. When I choose "manually configure APN" it fills the fields out with - MMSC = http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend - MMS proxy 172.30.38.3 - MMS Proxy port 8080 - MMS size limit 1MBThat matches what I see here on the vodafone site. This other site has the port set to 80. I tried both, nothing seemed to happen with either. I sent an MMS from my Spark/Telecom phone to it 5 minutes ago, with a 33kb image and small text, nothing came through at all.I've just started looking into this, I'd appreciate any ideas from anyone. I can only try things in the evening when we're at home.
